50 Cent to Executive Produce New Series ‘The Oath’

50 Cent is set to executive produce a new show called The Oath for the online provider Crackle, according to Billboard.

“I am very excited to be partnering with Sony Pictures Television Networks and Crackle,” said 50 Cent. “To be able to bring this story to life is something I’m looking forward to and Joe Halpin’s personal experience will make this unlike anything that’s been seen before.”

The 10-episode drama is about the real-life inner workings of gang culture and gang members. It is written by former L.A. Sheriff’s deputy Joe Haplin.

“Curtis, G-Unit Film & Television Inc., Storied Media Group and Joe Halpin are the perfect team to take this extraordinarily fast paced and complex narrative to Crackle’s passionate and engaged audience,” explains Eric Berger, Crackle GM and EVP, Digital, Sony Pictures Television Networks. “This is the kind of unexpected storytelling that our viewers have come to expect and we look forward to breaking new ground with this new original drama.”

The Queens rapper is also in development to executive produce an hour-long drama, RPM, written by Leo Sardarian. This original series centers around a working-class car salesman who turns to a life of crime.

Fiddy took to Instagram to announce the two new projects.
