50 Cent Forks Over $22 Million to Settle Bankruptcy Case

Bankruptcy Judge Ann Nevins approved 50 Cent’s $22 million bankruptcy discharge Thursday (Feb. 2) in Hartford, Connecticut to settle his case, according to Associated Press. The Queens, NY rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson III, filed for Chapter 11 reorganization in 2015, citing debts of $36 million and assets of less than $20 million.

The judge approved the five-year plan back in July. However, Fiddy paid it off the early with $8.7 million of his own money and $13.65 million he was awarded in a recent settlement of a legal malpractice lawsuit against other attorneys.
