Rumors have recently surfaced that 50 Cent’s abrupt absence from Chris Brown’s Party Tour are due to a financial dispute. This morning, TMZ reported that 50 allegedly departed ways with Brown and Live Nation because they were “hundreds of thousands of dollars apart“ when negotiating a solid contract. He was advertised heavily as one of the headlining performers before a fair deal was supposedly negotiated. The tour also features Fabolous, Kap G and OT Genasis.
Hours later, Fif took to Instagram to report that these claims were false, as he says he is currently filming a new movie. “I would never say my friends can’t afford me,” he wrote. “This run wasn’t handled correctly, I’m still on set filming Den of Thieves.”
Den of Thieves also stars Gerard Butler, Pablo Schreiber, O’shea Jackson, Jr. (Ice Cube son) and Evan Jones. The film centers around a crew of bank robbers trying to rob the Federal Reserve.
In related news, Curtis’ Best Of 50 Cent compilation droped today. This is 50 Cent’s first “Best Of” compilation and includes classic cuts from the albums Get Rich or Die Tryin’, The Massacre, Curtis, Before I Self Destruct, Music From And Inspired By Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ The Motion Picture and the In Too Deep Motion Picture Soundtrack.
Best Of 50 Cent also features the non-album tracks “Get Up” and “I Get It In,” plus the bonus cut “How to Rob.”
Among his many legendary collaborators included are Mobb Deep, Akon, Ne-Yo, The Madd Rapper, Nate Dogg, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, and Olivia, the first woman signed to 50 Cent’s G-Unit label.
