Amber Rose announced during her acceptance speech at the All Def Movie Awards last night (Jan. 22) that she is the new owner of much-celebrated shake joint Ace of Diamonds L.A.
“I was a dancer. I was an exotic dancer, I was [a] stripper for a very long time,” Rose said as she accepted the Vanguard Award for her activism. “Best time of my life, by the way. I had the time of my life. But do y’all know Ace of Diamonds? Well, I bought it.” The audience broke out into cheers.
The entertainer/ actress/ fashion designer also used her speech to send a message especially to women. “This is to every girl out there, every stripper,” Rose said, according to E! News. “Y’all can one day be on stage with Russell Simmons, receiving an award.”
In other AR news from last night, TMZ caught up with her in the City of Angels and asked if she and Kevin Durant were seeing each other. After the two were spotted together Tuesday night, rumors of a possible romance was brewing. But she quickly ended all speculation, saying they just happened to be at the same place at the same time.
