Amber Rose Gives Reebok’s Freestyle Hi a Muva Makeover

Boots may be for walking but Reebok’s upcoming collab is meant for Slutwalking. Amber Rose’s personal brand is growing much to the delight of Rosebuds, and her latest venture yields sneakers that go hard as a “Muva Fuka.”

Rose called the sneakers by the cheeky name on social media when the announcing the partnership with the footwear brand. And by the looks of the rose-gold-plated words “Muva” and “Fuka” clasping the laces of foot, Reebok is going with it.

Rose posted front-facing pics to her Instagram and Twitter. To the side of the sneakers, their box denotes the nickname “54-11” with the influencer’s name layered atop—signifying that her collab will be a take on Reebok’s Freestyle Hi and not her own signature. The Philly native chose an iconic model among the urban community, without great influence among 80s and women’s sneakerhead culture. Muva’s sneaker is burgundy all over with tan soles. And it looks to be textured—possibly suede—instead of using the traditional EVA upper.

The most recent 54-11 release—the 35th anniversary pack “Color Bomb” with Teyana Taylor—goes for $75. Rose hasn’t release information on the cost yet. Though Rose’s twists, like change in texture of the original sneaker, may result in a slightly higher price. What can’t be predicted as of yet though is the release date. With the limited deets, Muva has us in agony!!! Stay tuned for updates to come.
