Atlanta’s EarthGang Joins J. Cole’s Dreamville Records, Drops “Rags” EP

Johnny Venus and Doctur Dot, better known as EarthGang, recently stopped by Shade 45’s Showoff Radio show with DJ Statik Selektah to promote their EP Rags and to announce that they have decided to take their talent’s to J. Cole’s Dreamville imprint.

Since the release of their first EP in 2010, the Atlanta duo has been making some serious moves. Their collective, Spillage Village, got an assist from J. Cole on a track from their 2016 EP Bears Like This Too Much. Dreamville officially co-signed the signing in a video on their youtube channel that shows J. Cole giving the group praise back in 2015 and discussing how the duo’s signing came about. J.I.D, a fellow member of EarthGang’s Spillage Village crew, is also among the crop of new talent signed to Dreamville.

Rags is a five-track EP that features appearances J.I.D, Childish Major, and Mick Jenkins. Take a look at the Dreamville clip below and head over to iTunes to grab EarthGang’s newest EP.
