Azealia Banks Being Sued by Credit Card Company for $137,000

Azealia Banks seems to be keeping herself relevant through scandals since her music career has been seemingly lackluster lately.

From her boob-biting case with a bouncer in a nightclub to her Twitter beefs with Rihanna and Disney star Skai Jackson, Banks has gotten into it with almost everyone in the industry and now she’s adding corporations to the list.

According to published reports, the “Broke with Expensive Taste” rapper is being sued by City National Bank, a California-based bank, for over $137,000 after being approved for two credit cards and a personal line of credit through the banking institution. According to the lawsuit filed in the Manhattan Supreme Court in 2012, Banks signed up for the Crystal Infinite Visa Credit Card and stopped making payments on that card in December 2016, leaving a balance of $79, 000 on just that one card.

Then in May of 2015, Banks was given another Visa card by the bank and stopped making payments on that card later that year.; leaving a balance of $8,000 on the second card.

According to the court documents, in addition to the two credit cards, Banks also owes over $50,000 on her personal line of credit with the bank institution. All this comes amid a complicated second-degree assault charge stemming from 2015 when Banks supposedly bit and punched a female security guard at a nightclub in Manhattan. As a part of that plea deal, Banks must complete anger management classes.

Which would not be a bad thing considering how many twitter beefs Banks has instigated.
