New Edition’s three-man frontal assault BBD (Bell Biv DeVoe) is readying for the release of their highly anticipated album, Three Stripes, due on Friday, Jan 27. To hold fans over, the group has made the instant grat Track, “I’m Betta”, available today on iTunes.

“I’m Betta,” produced by Naughty By Nature’s Kay Gee, is the follow-up instant grat track to “Finally,” which features SWV and to their Top 10 single, “Run.”  “Run” is also produced by EPMD’s  Erick Sermon. You can pre-order Three Stripes here.

In related BBD news, BET’s six–hour long series The NewEdition Story will air Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of this week (Jan. 24, 25, 26) at 9 p.m.

After 30 years of breaking hearts on the record and from the stage, this epic three-part miniseries follows the group from their humble beginnings as kids in Boston to global mega-stardom – weathering the highs and lows of controversy, personnel changes and the ultimate cost of fame.

New Edition laid the foundation for how modern-day boy bands look, feel, and sound. Boyz II Men, N’SYNC, The Backstreet Boys, and New Kids On The Block all took their cues from Ronnie DeVoe, Ralph Tresvant, Michael Bivins, Bobby Brown, Ricky Bell and Johnny Gill.

Peep the trailer below as well as the video to “Run” and the smooth R&B vibes of  “I’m Betta” and “Finally.”
