Belly drops game with his new track titled P.O.P. (Power of Pussy). The catchy mid-tempo cut, produced by Ben Billions, demonstrates the Canadian rapper’s proven and flawlessly smooth lyrical ability, coupled with a powerful message focused on female empowerment, the strength of women, and Belly’s conscious stance on equality within humanity.

In an interview with ComplexBelly discussed the inspiration behind the new track. Belly said, “I think women in general have always been the focal point of art since the beginning. Arguably the most famous work of art is the Mona Lisa. One of the inspirations I have always had for my music is women. Being in love, the heartbreak that comes with it. For me ‘P.O.P.’ is a song about the human experience and what we go through as humans on a day to day.”

Recently, the MC headlined a performance at Canada 150, a festival around Canada Day celebrating the country’s 150 year. After his energetic performance in front of tens of thousands of people, the City of Toronto deemed his performance inappropriate due to profanity. As an artist about self-expression and freedom of speech, Belly quickly rose to defend his performance and denounce the censorship by saying that “they will never censor my art.”

As an immigrant from Palestine, Belly moved to Canada for these liberties, freedom of speech and free will to express yourself. Belly quickly rose to defended his performance and to denounce the censorship.

Over the weekend, Belly filmed the music video for “P.O.P. (Power of Pussy)” which stars Blac Chyna in Toronto. The single is off his forthcoming project Glorious. Check some of the behind-the-scenes footage now from the upcoming video and check the the new single now.
