Name: Lou The Human
Reppin’: Staten Island, N.Y.
Genre: Rap

Lou The Human is one sick MF. And we mean that in a good way. In just a short period of time, the NYC rapper has allured fans with his lurid, drug-laced, stream of consciousness raps and sinister visual offerings. Now it’s time to see if his dark rhymes are ready for the spotlight.

Lou started rapping as a kid, but the 21-year-old MC first began taking his career seriously as a producer in his teens. During that time, he made industry bonds with rappers like Jazz Cartier and The Underachievers. A few years back, he tried his hand at rapping once again as part of a short-lived group. After the outfit disbanded, he was left sitting on a several unreleased records.

Last year, he put out his dark solo debut single, “Brink.” The morbid track, which showcased his lyrical dexterity, instantly garnered him looks from labels and stylistic comparisons to rappers like Eminem and Mac Miller.

He popped back up this year with more fire, dropping the macabre song, “Macklemore,” which he recorded two surreal videos for. In the past couple months, he’s put out the two new singles, “Slim Buddah” and “Lou’s Dead,” in preparation for his debut EP, Humaniac, which is slated to drop later this year.

“I’ve got a lot of music and it’s been sitting in the vault for a while,” he told Pigeons and Planes. “I definitely have a follow-up project to Humaniac that is very left of Humaniac. I’m making more structured songs. I’ve got a lot of fire. For now, we’re trying to get these next videos out, create some merch, and hopefully tour.”

Lou will get a chance to show and prove before his debut project drops, with a performance at the 2017 Panorama Music Festival at Randall’s Island Park in NYC.
