The Boy Illinois Dances Like Diddy in New Music Video [Watch]

Chicago rapper The Boy Illinois has released the visual for his first single since signing to Priority Records, “Dancing Like Diddy”. Directed by Jay Mavas, the video is a fun, lighthearted clip with moments that pay homage to the Diddy‘s iconic music videos from the late 90’s.

The Boy Illinois has put in a lot of work these last few years. He’s been on three nationwide tours with fellow Chicago emcee Lupe Fiasco and he’s consistently been putting out music that’s earned him a decent buzz in the music industry. In May, all that hard work paid off when he announced that he signed a record deal with Priority Records. Fuzzy West, GM of Priority Records, had this to say about The Boy Illinois in a press release, “The music and Energy of The Boy Illinois fits Priority and we are excited he’s a part of this distribution service. Great to partner with a solid team. They are independent thinkers,”.

Chicago is currently at the forefront of music scene, with artists like Chance The Rapper, Vic Mensa and Dreezy emerging onto the mainstream.
