Brisco Pleads Not Guilty to Fraud and Counterfeit Charges

Brisco entered a plea of not guilty to fraud and counterfeit money charges on Tuesday in federal court in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., according to the Sun Sentinel.

The 34-year-old rapper  is charged with eight federal charges linked to identity theft, fraud and selling counterfeit currency. He is believed to be linked to at least $200,000 worth of fraud.

The Poe Boy/Cash Money artist was arrested earlier this month at The Playhouse Gentlemen’s Club in Hallandale Beach after being on the lam since August, when he led U.S. Secret Service agents and local law enforcement agencies on a high-speed chase, reaching speeds of 90 to 100 mph through Broward and Miami-Dade counties.

Agents say they eventually caught up with Mitchell after recording artist posted on social media that Brisco would be making a guest appearance at the club.

If convicted, he faces at least two years and nine months in federal prison.

A South Florida staple, the Opa-locka, Fla. rapper has collaborated with major artists including Lil Wayne for Da Drought 3 and Tha Carter III, as well as Rick Ross for Port of Miami.
