Is Queen Bey blessing Cardi B with a feature?
This past Sunday, Cardi B’s engineer, Ashby, hinted at a collaboration between the two heavy on his Instagram Story by posting a screenshot of song filed labeled “Cardi B ft. Beyonce Demo”. The engineer appropriately commented “Wow this feature is big” along with a pair of eye emojis on the photo.
Cardi B and Beyonce met this summer when the reigning Queen of Pop and R&B caught Cardi’s set at the Made In America festival in Philadelphia. Of her chance meeting with Beyonce, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper said “I mean, I’m surprised Beyonce liked me, ahh! I met Beyonce!”
Since releasing “Bodak Yellow”, Cardi B has won multiple BET Hip Hop Awards, she made history by becoming the first female rapper since Lauryn Hill to top the Billboard charts with a solo single, and she was recently nominated for a Soul Train Music Award. With all her success, it’s no surprise that Beyonce would want to team up with Cardi B. Still, Cardi B says she looking forward to releasing her second single and her upcoming debut album. “I really wanted to release my second single with my album, but I’m just not as satisfied yet to drop my album.” She stated in a recent interview.
