Cardi B, SZA, and Kendrick Lamar Among Nominees for the 2017 Soul Train Awards

Some of the biggest names in hip-hop will stand next to hottest acts in R&B at this year’s Soul Train Awards.

Solange Knowles leads with seven nominations including Best R&B/Soul Female Artist, Best Collaboration and Album of the Year for A Seat At The Table. Following Solange is Bruno Mars, who snagged six nominations including Song of the Year for his smash single “That’s What I Like”.

Cardi B continues on her hot streak, snagging a nomination for “Bodak Yellow” in the Rhythm & Bars category, going up against heavyweights such as Kendrick Lamar, Yo Gotti, French Montana and DJ Khaled. R&B newcomers SZA, Khalid, 6lack, Kevin Ross and H.E.R will compete in the Best New Artist category. Khalid and SZA both came out with multiple nominations, grabbing four nominations a piece.

This year the Soul Train Awards will honor Toni Braxton with the Don Cornelius Legend Award and 90’s R&B trio SWV will be honored with the Lady of Soul Award. The Soul Train Awards will air on BET and BET Her on November 26. Take a look at the full list of nominees below.
