Looks like Charlamagne Tha God’s campaign to make Cardi B number one worked.
Cardi B has made history with her infectious boss chick anthem, “Bodak Yellow”. Yesterday, the single reached the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, making her the first female rapper since Lauryn Hill’s to do so without a feature. Since the news of history making accomplishment, fans and fellow female emcees have took to social media to congratulate the former Love and Hip Hop: New York cast member on her achievement.
This achievement comes after Cardi’s recent appearance on The Breakfast Club where Charlamagne Tha God put out a call to action to get the New York rapper in the number one spot. If you missed that interview, watch it below and take a look at some reactions from Nicki Minaj, Missy Elliot, Rapsody, Lil’ Kim and Queen Cardi herself.
