One of everyone’s favorite NBA couple may be calling it quits.
According to a report by TMZ on Monday (Apr. 17), Carmelo Anthony and his wife, La La officially separated after La La moved from their shared home to her own place in New York City last week.
While the couple had experienced their share of adversity, like everyone else, TMZ reports that this year’s season and rumored trade talk over the past several months have been extremely difficult for their marriage. Despite the split, the two are still friends and were spotted together just a few days ago at a youth basketball game for their 10-year-old son, Kiyan.
Although many feel that the decision was primarily based on the fact Melo has a high chance of being traded, the two have said there are no plans to uproot Kiyan from New York.
Carmelo and La La have been married since 2010, and have reportedly not yet discussed a divorce.
