After news broke about NBA couple Carmelo and Lala Anthony were separated, we knew it would only be a matter of time before the reason was discovered.
According to TMZ, Carmelo’s infidelity is what cause the surprise split. The site reports that Melo was “messing around” with a woman who’s now claiming she’s six and a half months pregnant with his baby. Understandably once La La Anthony heard the news she was “pissed”, which prompted her reaction to move away from the situation.
The unnamed woman in question reportedly works as a dancer at a gentlemen’s club in New York City. She has “made it clear” to Anthony that he will be expected to help with medical costs and related expenses. Carmelo and La La’s marriage, however, has reportedly been in trouble for a bit, which is reportedly why the alleged pregnancy has not been characterized as the catalyst for their split.
Over the last few days, La La has been spotted out in NYC sans her ring after they officially split over the weekend.
So far, neither side has filed divorce papers but we’re told there’s virtually zero chance of a reconciliation.
