Chance The Rapper has taken his philanthropy to a new level of social good. Recently at the summit for his SocialWorks charity, the “No Problems” rapper announced the launch of the Twilight Awards, an event that will honor educators and those that help raise and teach the youth. The first awards show is scheduled to place in Chicago next June with James Corden tapped to be the official host for the ceremony. During the summit, Chance also pledged another generous donation of $2.2 million dollars to 20 Chicago public schools.

“Every contribution brings this city and this nation closer to providing a well-rounded quality education for each and every child,” Chance says. “Funding quality education for public [school] students is the most important investment a community can make.”

The Coloring Book emcee has been actively working to give back to the community and his humanitarian efforts have not gone unnoticed. Chance previously partnered with the Chicago Bulls to donate $1 million to Chicago public schools and was the recipient of the Humanitarian Award at this year’s BET Awards.
