Chicago crooner and Hip-Hop hookman Johnny P has died. Johnny P rose to fame singing on platinum hooks like Do or Die and Twista’s “Po Pimp,” Do Die’s “Playa Like Me And You” and Twista’s “Emotions.” His 1998 debut The Next was released on Rap-A Lot Records and he also laced the hook on Tupac and Scarface’s collaborative smash “Smile.”
According to FakeShore Drive, the R&B singer had been in a coma for several weeks. Our condolences go out to his friends and family. Thanks for the music and Rest In Paradise brother.
