Donald Glover has been having a great year thus far. From his hit show Atlanta premiering on FX landing a total of 1.8 million viewers, its first season, to welcoming his first child; Donald Glover is killing the scene.
As if that wasn’t enough to dominate the small screen, it appears Glover is trying to spread that success to the music world after a sleuthing Reddit user discovered an advertisement at FYE that showed that Glover, who goes by the musical persona Childish Gambino, releasing an album in December titled Awaken, My Love!. Solidifying the release, Awaken, My Love! also appeared on Amazon Canada for preorder listed with a Dec. 2 release date.
Gambino seemingly prepped fans in September when he performed new music at his camping music event Pharos at Joshua Tree. A week prior, Gambino appeared Jimmy Fallon, confirming that he would be performing new music for those in attendance, saying, “I have all these songs and I want people to feel like it felt to be in them.”
Awaken, My Love! will be Gambino’s first project in two years, with his previous projects STN MTN and Kauai both dropping on consecutive days in October of 2014.
Gambino has yet to confirm or deny the release.
