Ciara Drops $15 Million Defamation Lawsuit Against Future

Ciara recently dropped a $15 million defamation lawsuit against her baby daddy Future, TMZ reports. According to the celebrity news outlet, the R&B singer filed legal documents in Superior Court in Fulton County, GA, ending her case “with prejudice,” meaning she will not be able to refile it.

The lawsuit was originally filed in February 2016 and triggered by a radio interview where Future said, “She probably set [Russell Wilson] up. You letting them catch that photo. Leave my son out of all the publicity stunts.”

Following the radio interview, Future made a series of tweets, saying “I gotta go through lawyers to see babyfuture,” Future wrote in January 2016. “The fuckery for 15k a month. I been silent for a year & a half..I ran outta patience. I jus want babyfuture that’s all.”

He also accused her of being a control freak and a bad mom. Ciara claimed that Future caused her to lose a $500,000 endorsement deal. Undisclosed sources say Future didn’t pay her any money in return for the dismissal.
