Dash Cam Footage of Tiger Woods’ DUI Arrest Released

Jupiter Police Department in Florida released today (May 31) the dash cam footage of Tiger Woods’ Monday morning DUI arrest.

According to reports, Woods was found in 2015 Mercedes Benz around 3 a.m. “erratically, all over the road” when they pulled him over. Officers reportedly smelled alcohol on Woods’ breath and at that point Woods became “arrogant.” Woods was asked to blow into a breathalyzer but he refused, meaning automatic arrest and licence suspension in accordance to Florida law. Other reports say the golfer was found passed out on the side of the road in his car.

In the clips, he seems puzzled and confused as he sways back and fourth, wasn’t able to tie his own shoes and actually thought he was in Los Angeles. He then failed a field sobriety test.

Woods, however, says that he was not drunk. CNN reports that he golfer said that alcohol not involved and he had “an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications.”

Instead, Woods said that is currently rehabbing from back surgery and did not realize the mix of medications “had affected me so strongly.” According to reports, he also said, “I understand the severity of what I did and I take full responsibility for my actions.”
