“Just like you all I am a fan of music,” Chappelle said. “So like with Chappelle Show, a lot of these people are friends of mine, if I don’t know them directly then they are friends of friends who I have a great amount of respect for. ”

In regards to his status in Hip-Hop, Dave states that he’s not an ambassador, but simply a fan who loves to spread the sounds of good music.

“I wouldn’t say I am an ambassador of Hip-Hop, I would say that I am a fan who happens to know some really cool people who do something that I really love.”

Dave also talked about working with Rock on the set of SNL when the election results were announced, stating that the entire set had an eerie feeling.

“I remember that night like it was yesterday because the set had such an eerie feeling. They were projecting the results at Rockafeller Center on the ice and the windows were open because I was smoking so I could hear people cheering and disappointed through the window. So when the results were actually announced, no one really cared about being funny because there were folks on set clearly devastated.”
