Dee-1 Drops New Video “No Car Note”

Finally, an anthem for the Regular Joe who enjoys life without an added expense! For most rappers, image is everything  and an expensive ride is a rights of passage. For Dee-1 however, life is just fine with his old faithful Honda 4-door. In the official, Tommy Talley directed, video for “No Car Note,” Dee-1 and his young co-stars celebrate the extra money that they don’t have to worry about annoying car payments.

Dee, who reached nationwide success when he released his highly acclaimed “Sallie Mae Back” single, is here to prove that a dope rapper is all about talent, and not just the kind of car you drive. Followers of Dee  know that the New Orleans emcee prides himself on his ever-loyal 98 Honda Accord, so it’s no surprise he would dedicate a song to the ride that’s stuck with him through thick and thin.

“I want people to know that you should never buy a fancy car just to “fit in” if it causes you to live above your means,” says Dee-1, who for the first time ever, has given people with “regular cars” their very own anthem.
