New Orleans MC Dee-1 kicked off his first headlining tour this past fall in support of his last project Slingshot David. During the West Coast stops of the tour, Dee connected with filmmaker/videographer Chase Smith and decided to document his performances and interactions with his fans in this 14-minute documentary.

Dee had a prettty good 2016 and 2017 only looks brighter, As previously reported, Dee-1 signed a collaborative agreement with global consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers. He visits high school events nationwide, as part of the “Earn Your Future” program, to help students make smart financial decisions about college and their careers.

The success of Dee-1’s viral track “Sallie Mae Back,” in early 2016, trail blazed Dee-1 as the face and spokesperson for financial literacy and has been cited as making ‘Being Debt Free is the New American Dream.” Their goal is to teach financial literacy and help students with their loan debt.

Dee-1 also had a big win with ESPN in 2016 when he recorded the video for ESPN’s Undefeated acknowledging athletes that stood for a cause outside their sport and sat down and interviewed with His & Hers. Check the clips now.
