It was like the rap gods had jumped into Desiigner’s body and taken control as the Brooklyn discharged dangerous rhymes during an acapella freestyle on Funkmaster Flex’s Hot 97 radio show Thursday.
“Everybody can’t come up here,” Flex said before he let Desiigner loose. In a spitfire flow, the “Panda” MC rapped about his hard upbringing, current situation with G.O.O.D. Music and how much firepower he has in his arsenal of weapons.
As Desiigner continued his two-minute performance, Flex looked pleasantly surprised and impressed at the young rapper. His face told it all. Even social media took notice.

Last year, Funkmaster called out “mumble rappers” on his radio show, saying, “You know nothin’ about that. You know why? Because you’re a mumble rapper, Bow Wow … Lil Yachty, you don’t want nothing too. Neither of you n*ggas want nothing, because Murda Mook is standing right there!
He continues, “2017, mumble rappers are finished.”
With Desiigner being lumped into the same category as Boat and Bow Wow, many were surprised that he would have been invited to the show. Check out Flex’s aggression in the video above at the 6:40 mark.
