Diddy Presents Nas With “The Jimmy Iovine Icon Award’ at Revolt Music Conference [Video]

Nas and Diddy

Nas was presented with the first-ever The Jimmy Iovine Icon Award, which acknowledges a hip hop artist’s everlasting imprint and influence on the genre at the Revolt Music Conference in Miami, FL, this weekend. Speaking of his “Hate Me Now” rhyme partner, Diddy spoke of Nas’ accomplishments in the music and business world and thanked him for always carrying Hip-Hop on his back. Puff said,

“This is truly what Black excellence is about when you have a person that’s an artist that puts himself before the fame, before the shine, before the money…To uplift the crowd… Nas has always been the one to save Hip-Hop. No matter how watered down it got, As long as Nas was there,  we were still alright  and there was still motherfucking hope.”
