The heir to T.I’s. rap throne, his son Domani, just dropped the smoothed out visual “Playalistic Music” as he spits gems on his quest to walk his own path in thirst of his own fortune and fame.
Tracking his development from an impressionable toddler in the hood to his current status as a wise-beyond-his-years teenager, the 16-year-old’s visual explores the role environment and surroundings play in the minds and lives of young people.
Speaking of “Playalistic Music,” Domani stated to VIBE,
“The message that I wanted to get across in this video, is that you have to always realized that somewhere out there, there’s a little kid, or somebody else that looks up to you, that wants to be just like you. Therefore you have a responsibility to lead the way for this person. Whether you wanted this responsibility or not, and in this case (in the video) the most influential people around this child (played by me) took that responsibility for granted. They lead him in the wrong direction which lead to the kid losing his life for their actions. You’re not the product of your circumstances, you are the product of your decisions.”
As previously reported, Domani dropped his debut mixtape The Constellation in March. Featuring appearances from London Jae of Bankroll Mafia and his sister Zonnique, the project establishes Domani as a rapper to watch as he grows into a fully-formed artist and human being.
Domani explained the album’s title, adding,
“I feel like I gotta have all my stars aligned so people can see who I really am, to see me for who I am. I’m getting all the stars aligned so people can see that I’m a true artist. I want people to just enjoy the music and put aside what they expect me to sound like, look like, be like because of my background.”
