When it comes to being the King of the South, T.I. has that title under wraps, but now his middle son and heir to the Hustle Gang throne Domani Harris is stepping up to create music his way.

The 16-year-old rapper is showing that he too carries the skills to hold his own. After the release of his mixtape Constellation, Domani has definitely shown both maturity and growth with the project’s first single “Paris” featuring Bankroll Mafia‘s London Jae.

GRIP got a chance to sit down with the reality star to discuss his inspiration, his new project, growing up with successful parents and balancing his personal life.

In regards to why he chose music, Domani revealed that it’s not about it being “just music” or his father, it’s about the “creation” for him.

“I just want to grow as an artist and I want to influence and just at the end of the day,” Domani said. ” [I want to] create you know not even just music, just create. So a lot of people only see music but really this is just only one lane. I am a creator and I create. Music is just like maybe the main right now.”

In regards to how influential his parents are in his career, Domani said he’s not looking for handouts and plans to make it with no help from his celebrity parents.

“I feel like I need to get out and experience things for myself.” Domani continued. “I love how my parents do things but I also like to do things myself, so I listen to what they have to offer but ultimately I still want to create my own path.”
