Drake ‘Views’ Album Certified Four Times Platinum, Plans to Open OVO Pop-Up Shop In NYC

Drake keeps on winning. In less than eight months since its release, the Canadian rapper’s fourth studio album Views has been certified four-times platinum by the RIAA.

The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, spent a total of 26 weeks in the top five and was certified triple platinum back in August, four months after its release in April 28 release date.  Just last month, Billboard announced the album had more than three billion Spotify streams.

Back in October, Drizzy revealed that he would be dropping a new project, More Life, before the end of the year during a special Sunday edition of OVO SOUND Radio.

“I’m off mixtapes, I want to do a playlist,” Drake said on air. “I want to give you a collection of songs that become the soundtrack to your life, so this ‘More Life: The Playlist.’ Like I said, dropping in December. All original music from me. You might hear some tunes from the family on there. Just really excited. I had a great tour, I had a great summer. And most people would probably take a break, but for me, I just want to get right back to it. Be with the people again.”

In other Drake news, Champagne Papi made an announcement via his Instagram as well as @WelcomeOVO earlier today that an OVO pop-up shop is coming to New York City in the near future. Check out the post below.
