Drake Announces New Project, Releases Four New Songs, Causes Commotion on Twitter

In celebration of him turning the big 3-0, Drake reveals he’s dropping a new project before the end of the year.

He broke the news of plans release More Life in December during a special Sunday edition of OVO SOUND Radio.

“I’m off mixtapes, I want to do a playlist,” Drake said on air. “I want to give you a collection of songs that become the soundtrack to your life, so this ‘More Life: The Playlist.’ Like I said, dropping in December. All original music from me. You might hear some tunes from the family on there. Just really excited. I had a great tour, I had a great summer. And most people would probably take a break, but for me, I just want to get right back to it. Be with the people again.”

Drake also posted to Instagram what just may be the official artwork — an old picture his dad, Dennis Graham.

Of the new tracks, “Two Birds, One Stone” created a stir on Twitter this morning, as Drake mentions rapper Kid Cudi, who checked into rehab earlier this month to combat “depression and suicidal urges.”

He raps, “You were the Man on the Moon, now you go through your phases / Life of the angry and famous”

This could be in response to Cudi’s Sept. 14 Twitter rant calling out Kanye West and Drake.

But fans were not all-the-way pleased with Drake’s comeback.
