Drake’s 30th birthday is October 24, but it seems like fans are the ones slated to receive a special gift.
On Sunday (October 23) Apple Music will be airing a special birthday edition of Drake’s OVO Sound Radio, and it appears as if Drizzy might be dropping new music at the same time.
Drake took to Instagram to reveal the show, which usually airs on Saturdayposting a childhood picture which features his mother and father from his second birthday party, with the caption “Tune into ovosound radio episode 32 my birthday show with mix by me and @oliverelkhatib on Oct 23.”
Complex posted on Instagram about the show, questioning whether Drake would use the time slot to premiere new tracks. Drake responded in the comment section with a bulls-eye emoji, implying that their conclusions were correct.
With all of the upcoming joint ventures that Drake has been tagged with lately, it’s hard to pinpoint exactly what Drake will drop tomorrow. Drake has a number of things in the works including his joint project with Gucci Mane and an album with Kanye West.
Last month, West revealed the upcoming collab during an interview with Vogue.
“We’re just working on music, working on a bunch of music together, just having fun going into the studio,” West said when asked about a recent billboard that popped up with his G.O.O.D. Music logo next to Drake’s OVO insignia. “We’re working on an album, so there’s some exciting things coming up soon.”
OVOSound Radio airs Sunday at 6pm EST.
