Sailing over squealing vocal samples, jittery hi-hats, and an earworm-y mob bassline, E-40 joins B-Legit to welcome summertime on “Fo Sho,” his latest single.

Cousins and close friends, E-40 and B-Legit have a long history of collaborating, dating back to the late ’80s when the two artists were original members in legendary rap crew The Click. Their close relationship has continued through the decades, with the rappers appearing on nearly every one of each other’s projects.

Featuring an appearance from singer JT The 4th, the most recent signee to 40’s Sick Wid It Records, “Fo Sho” is an infectious collaboration between the Bay’s old and new school. Flexing his trademark elastic flow and eccentric wordplay, 40 Water is on top form on the new track as he spits,

“When I was a little youngster I was nosy and curious/I asked a lot of questions and I took life serious/You know my cousins, my kinfolk, my relatives/trippin and trappin and hustlin ever since we was little men.”

The video finds the three caballeros living the high life in a NoCal country club, drinking red wine and sipping Sluricane, E-40’s signature mixed cocktail. Check out the summer heater now.
