Ex-NBA Player Robert Horry Gets Into Fight at Basketball Tournament

Former NBA All Star player Robert Horry had to throw hands with another man during his kid’s basketball tournament on Saturday (August 5).

The two men got into a scuffle at the Nike 3ON3 tournament at L.A. Live, where Horry’s son was playing, TMZ reports. The celebrity media outlet also shared a video showing a man push the Horry, who responded with multiple punches at the man. Whether any of the punches landed is another question altogether.

The man reportedly had been heckling Horry throughout the entire game before approaching him, as seen in the video.

“The guy was trash talking the whole game,” the seven-time NBA champion told TMZ. “He shoved me. Where I’m from, you protect yourself.”

The former Houston Rocket says he eventually walked away from the the fight because he was “the only one who was gonna lose in this situation.”

A native of Harford County, Maryland, the 46-year-old baller won seven championships and is the only player (besides John Salley) to win NBA championships with three different teams: two with the Houston Rockets, three with the Los Angeles Lakers and two with the San Antonio Spurs. He now works as a commentator on Spectrum SportsNet.
