Freddie Gibbs Acquitted Of Rape Charges And Sexual Assault

Freddie Gibbs was acquitted on charges of sexual assault in Austria yesterday. The news was revealed by his manager Ben Lambert who shared the win via Instagram and Twitter.

Lambert Tweeted, “Freddie Gibbs is coming home. Freddie Gibbs has been acquitted of the False accusations. Thank you to everyone who has been by our side during these past 4 months. Through strength and patience, an innocent man is coming home. Told you the truth will come to light. Three things cannot be long hidden:  the sun, the moon, and the truth.”

The Gary, Indiana MC was accused of rape after allegedly having sex with a 17-year-old after a concert in Vienna last year. Gibbs was extradited last July in France when law enforcement arrested him on a European arrest warrant prior to a concert in the city of Toulouse.

The charges claim that Freddie Gibbs took two girls, age 16 and 17, back to his hotel after his show in Vienna on July 5, 2015 and that both girls were drinking heavily backstage and that their drinks may have been spiked.  The rap sheet claims that Gibbs then had sex with the 17-year-old who was too drunk to say yes or no.  The young lady then claimed to have had flashbacks of that night 8 months later which left Gangsta Gibbs looking at up to 10 years in the pen had he been convicted.

Gibbs lawyer Thomas Kralik told Austrian media, “There is no objective proof that Freddie Gibbs had sex with this woman. Independent witnesses like the hotel receptionist and a hotel guest have stated that the women were tipsy but definitely still able to walk on their own legs.”
