Freddie Gibbs stopped by Viceland’s Desus and Mero show and chopped it up with the hosts on a few topics from his relationship with NFL Hall of Famer Eric Dickerson (his daughter’s grandfather and girlfriend’s father), being locked up in Austria fighting rape charges and his beef with Jeezy.
While locked up in Austria, Freddie Gibbs revealed that he wrote his latest album, You Only Live 2Wice, while he was fighting for his freedom. Gangsta Gibbs said, “I pretty much wrote all that shit when I was in there. When a nigga came in the cell and said we gone give you ten years, I was like, Fuck, ten years, I better get to writing, So I was like if I ever make bail, I’m gone get out and record a bunch of shit and when I did, I found a studio and recorded this shit and two other projects.”
Showing his hilarious side throughout the interview, you get a chance to see how funny Gangsta Gibbs really is. When Desus and Mero skipped over his beef with Jeezy question, Freddie jokingly asked, “Why y’all skip over the Jeezy question? Y’all know I saw that shit, I can read the teleprompter.”
Touching on the subject, he spoke on the Snowman, stating, “Ain’t no beef, man. It’s gotta be beef when there’s two real muthafuckas in the equation. When there’s one muthafucka, it’s just like pshh. Pussy ass nigga. I’ll whoop yo ass, nigga. Fuck with me. Fuck Jeezy. Bitch ass nigga.”
Though he was having fun when he said it, you could still see the truth. The two have been at odds since Freddie’s deal with CTE went south.
