FUBU Founder Daymond John Engaged to (White) Girlfriend

FUBU impresario and “Shark Tank” star Daymond John sent shock waves throughout pop culture when he proposed to his longtime (hidden) girlfriend and the mother of his six-month-old daughter Thursday on the set of the popular show.

Daymond John’s rep, Zach Rosenfield, relayed to Page Six the FUBU founder and CEO proposed at the start of lunch: “It was the last day of shooting for the season, and he had asked her to come to set.

“Everyone was very excited and happy for him,” his rep told the publication. “There were streamers and champagne.”

Daymond John’s “Shark Tank” co-stars Barbara Corcoran, Mark Cuban, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec and Kevin O’Leary were all on hand when John popped the question. John and Taras’ daughter Minka was also there.

John gave US Weekly the rundown on the 9.5 carat ring emerald cut ring he custom designed for Heather: “I was a little nervous,” John, 47, says of proposing. “I had to create a speech. I knew a lot of people were looking at me. You know, you never know how someone is going to react, of course. She could always say no, and that’s the first time that I’ve been on the carpet pitching somebody! So, a little nerve-racking, of course.”

The entrepreneur adds that his love “choked up” a little bit, “but she said yes pretty quickly!

“My daughter was sitting in her lap, so I was looking at my beautiful daughter at the same time,” he adds of the big moment, which was caught on tape for them to revisit. He also tells Us that he explained to Heather in his speech that God had given him everything he needs and that he is “rich with love.”

As for his favorite thing about his new fiancée? “Her calm demeanor,” he gushes to US.

Of course, the elephant in the room is this: Twitter had something to say about the founder of “For Us By Us” was marrying a blond-haired, blue-eyed white woman.
