For the fourth year in a row, the final SXSW Takeover stage started hours before doors opened, with a crowd of fans waiting in line for the chance to see Gucci Mane’s first SXSW performance.
Those lucky enough to join the sold out crowd at legendary Stubb’s BBQ were treated to performances by the hottest artists on Atlantic Records’ current roster, with Guwop closing out the Takeover x Atlantic Records “Make Trap Great Again” Stage with crowd favorites old and new including “I Think I Love Her,” “Both,” “I Don’t Love Her,” “Bricks,” “Both,” “1st Day Out Tha Feds,” “Back On Road” and “Black Beetles.”
Before Gucci took the stage, an energetic Meek Mill was front and center, broken arm and all, representing the “Trap House” with street anthems from “House Party” to “Litty”
Delivering one of the best performances of the night, Ty Dolla $ign had even the crowd of revelers backstage – including previous performers OT Genasis, Cardi B, Lil Uzi Vert and VIPs including Christian and Justin Combs – running to the front of the house to catch the show.
