Hip-hop has always been about flash and excess but with a rap moniker like Gucci Mane, one would have to be extra icy and extravagant in order to live up to the great expectations. And Guwop has been doing just that! Most recently, East Atlanta Santa showed off his diamond-and-gold-encrusted pieces, chains, watches and bracelets by way of DJ Akademiks’ Instagram account.
He starts the video off with three gold and diamond 1017 chains pendants on matching chains dangling around his neck. Then, he moves to the ice cream cone piece and chain with enough karats to make Bugs Bunny jealous. Next, he boasts a jewelry box full of matching watches and bracelets. On a bed, there are other various rings, watches and pendants.
Earlier this week, Lil Yachty paid homage to Gucci’s expensive taste in jewelry. The Atlanta rapper purchased a Bart Simpson chain inspired by Gucci’s version from the early 2000s. Boat took to Instagram to show off his frost-bitten pendant in a video. “Fuck what you talking bout, bro. Yachty Simpson going crazy. Inspired by Guwop, you see the 1017 birds,” he boasts while flipping the charm over to show the backside. “Inspired by the original Guwop Bart Simpson. Shouts out my nigga John, John the Jeweler. We going crazy.”
The icy pendant is made up of yellow diamonds for Bart’s canary-like complexion, white diamonds for his bulging eyeballs eyes, pink bling for the shirt and blue stones for the pants and shoes. And it comes complete with red braids atop the head, just like Boat’s.
