Lil Kim attended the VMAs in a dazzling Versace jumpsuit with her left breast covered in just a pasty. The daring move garnered the attention of the world, including Black Music icon Diana Ross, who got a hand full on national television.

Who can take over an entire summer with just one verse, Lil Kim that’s who. Her verse on the Puff Daddy and the Family collab track scorched her counterparts coming second to only Big Poppa himself. Her verse was so impactful that it solidified her Queen Bee status and shut down naysayers who accused Kim of regurgitating rhymes written by her label mate and then boyfriend the Notorious B.I.G.
