Mz Shyneka from Hot 107.9 has been nominated for Atlanta’s Best Radio Personality. Mz Shyneka hosts Word On The Streetz from 2pm – 6pm on the Radio One station and is competing with other drive time hosts like Bert Weis of Q-100 and Jason Pullman and Kristen Gates from 94.9 The Bull.
Shyneka’s crazy, sassy, cool and up to date entertainment news makes her an industry favorite and she also delivers the latest ATL happenings on her blog mzshyneka.com.
Shyneka began her career as an intern after high school, in 1999, for Radio One’s WHTA HOT 107.9. In 2001, she joined forces with Emperor Searcy to host the afternoon drive show “In the Kingdom with Emperor Searcy and Mz. Shyneka.” It was during this time the duo was known to keep the listening audience captured with their playful banter.
Holding down the afternoon drive spot on her own now, she is obsessed with delivering breaking and up to date entertainment news with her daily segment “Word on the Street.” Although entertainment news is her niche, she is widely known for cultivating personal relationships with both international and local celebrities making for informative and memorable interviews. This funky fashionista is known to network with executives and celebrities from every facet of the entertainment industry as well as host some of the most well-known clubs and major events in Atlanta.
