Issa Rae Drops Teaser For the Highly Anticipated Forthcoming Season of “Insecure”

Fans of Issa Rae‘s critically acclaimed series “Insecure” can finally rejoice as the series is set to return July 23rd on HBO.

America’s favorite Awkward Black Girl took to her Twitter to drop the teaser that features the names of three episodes “Hella Confused”, “Hella Tempted” and “Hella Lit”.

For those that need a refresher, the much talked season one finale saw Lawrence moving out of the couple’s shared apartment, seemingly putting an end to Issa and Lawrence’s long-term relationship while Issa repaired her broken relationship with her BFF, Molly. And let’s not forget that much talked about “scene” with Lawrence and the bank teller.

Since having a breakout year with “Insecure,” Issa Rae has become a highly sought after actress and writer. Rae will be working on her first full-length feature entitled “Empress of Serenity”. The film is loosely based on author David Foster Wallace’s book and is slated to begin production in August.

Rae has also been reportedly tapped to write the script for the upcoming Ava Duvernay film starring Rihanna and Lupita Nyong’o. The film, which is being described as a “buddy movie,” initially had the green light from the stars, director, and scriptwriter back in April and is set to start production in 2018 for Netflix.
