After making a name for himself as a member of East Atlanta-based hip hop collective Two-9 (along with Curtis Williams, Johnny, Dave and CEEJ) and signing a deal with Mike Will Made It’s label EarDrummers Entertainment, New York-born rapper Jace has been steadily earning his chops as a solo artist. With a hybrid sound that bridges his freestyle raps and spoken word roots with early NY influences, Southern swagger and Jamaican upbringing, the multi-layered emcee delivers a style quite like none other before him.
On his latest video release “On My Way,” he teams with College Park, Ga. representer OG Maco for a mesmerizing melody of abstract rhymes atop a stripped-down track of kick, snare and high hats.
