Jay Z Narrates The New York Times ‘War On Drugs’ Documentary [Video]

Jay Z connected with The New York Times this week  to create a mini-documentary accompanying it’s open editorial piece dissecting the war on drugs. In the four-minute doc, Hov talked about the War on Drugs and the affects it had on his own life. He discusses former President Ronald Reagan and how Reaganomics and the under-funding of public schools led to the demise of the Black community and how drug dealers became looked at as villains and monsters while beoming the blame. Hov stated, “… Young men like me became the sole villain” and labeled the whole “war” an “epic fail” at the end.
