Jodeci will be the next super R&B group having their life story told as Mr. Dalvin and JoJo revealed the news during an interview with San Francisco radio station Q102.1.
With the huge ratings success of the New Edition biopic on BET in January, Mr. Dalvin stated,
“It’s in the works already. They actually started the process last September. We just finished the script and they go into production next month so we’re looking at probably an end of the year release.”
While the details of where the Jodeci biopic will land haven’t been revealed, Mr. Dalvin added,
“Vh-1 bought the rights so they own the rights so far…Me & Jojo up in the Bay Area..Yes the #jodecibiopic is coming!!!!! For all the casting inquiries, they will be announced soon…Thanks for the love and support.”
Jodeci reunited after 20 years in 2015 for their reunion album The Past, the Present, the Future. Check out the announcement below from Dalvin’s IG page.
