Kanye West has been taken to UCLA Medical Center for psychiatric evaluation.

According to TMZ, one day after announcing the cancellation of the rest of his Saint Pablo Tour, Kanye was  hospitalized  for sleep deprivation after police responded to a call for a welfare check on Monday (November 21).

The report also states that Kanye did not want to go to the hospital, and was restrained when he was transported.  The hospitalization comes after a seemingly erratic week for Kanye. His first rant happened Thursday (Nov. 17)  in San Jose, after the G.O.O.D Music head honcho publicly declared he would have voted for president-elect Donald Trump and gave his opinion about racism and the Black Lives Matter movement, stating black people need to “stop talking about race.” Then on Saturday (Nov. 19) at his concert in Sacramento, Yeezy publicly aired out his grievances with his long time friends Jay Z and Beyonce, before abruptly canceling his show after performing three songs.

“I’ve been sent here to give y’all my truth, even at the risk of my own life,” West said on Saturday night. “At the risk of my own success. I’ll give y’all the truth. Jay Z, call me, you still ain’t called me.… Jay Z, I know you got killers. Please don’t send them at my head. Just call me. Talk to me like a man.”

Although no further updates have been released at this time, we are sending prayers to Kanye West for a speedy recovery.
