When Keeping it Real Goes Wrong: Charlamagne Tha God Makes New Enemy with Chanel West Coast [Watch]

The man known to be the number #1 button pusher in Hollywood made a new enemy on a recent appearance on MTV. Charlamagne Tha God recently appeared on Rob Dyrdek‘s Ridiculousness, a comedy clip show co-hosted by Sterling “Steelo” Brim and Chanel West Coast. Clearly, Chanel wasn’t to pleased to have the controversial radio host as a guest on the show.

As Charlemagne was discussing his strategy of “telling the truth,” Chanel decided to chime in, making the conversation take a turn for the worse. Things got even more heated once Charlamagne recalled the time that he called Chanel West Coast a “wack rapper”.

Chanel clapped back with “Lil Wayne who co-signed Drake and Nicki Minaj, is the same person that co-signed me, I won a BET award with Young Money. I got songs with French Montana, YG, Ty Dolla Sign, Snoop Dogg. Mind you, I did a song with Snoop Dogg after I got into a verbal argument with him because he respected me so much after I spoke my mind to him, he still came back and did a song with me.”

Charlemagne’s response?  “Well Cash Me Outside, How Bow Dat!”

This isn’t the first time that he has used the term “wack rappers.” During an interview with Lil’ Yachty on The Breakfast Club back in April, Tha God called Lil Boat the “poster child for wack rappers.”

“You are the poster child for wack rappers,” says the controversial radio personality around the 17-minute mark of the video below. “If they want to say somebody’s wack, they say you.”

DJ Envy quickly stepped in to intervene, saying, “He is not the poster child for wack rappers.”

Charlamagne, however, stuck to his guns an backed up his claims with comparisons of Boat to Trinidad James, who burst onto the scene with the 2012 runaway hit single “All Gold Everything” but quickly fell off into obscurity shortly after.

“It happens every few years,” Tha God explained. “There was Trinidad James at one point.”

“Whoa! That’s what I’m in?” Yachty protested.

“Yes!” Charlamagne proclaimed. “Perception wise.”

“But we in two different lanes…That is an insult,” the Atlanta rapper responded. “Just to sit here and hear you put me in

Trinidad James’ spot of the shine of being terrible, I don’t think I’ma claim that.”

However Yachty may be perceived, D.R.A.M.’s single “Broccoli” featuring Lil Yachty was recently certified five times platinum by the RIAA. The record reached platinum sales back in September 2016 and four times platinum in February.
