Kendrick Lamar Drops ‘DAMN’, Stream it Here [Listen]

The moment we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived, Kendrick Lamar has released his highly anticipated album, DAMN.

Lamar dropped DAMN. late on Thursday (Apr. 13). The album features 14 tracks, including “Humble,” which dropped a couple weeks ago and interestingly there are only three features on the entire album from Zacari, Rihanna, and U2, despite earlier speculation.

After putting the rap game in a chokehold with the freebie “The Heart Part 4” and the consequent show-stealer “Humble.,” the Compton rapper has had fans thirsting for his fourth studio effort DAMN. after boasting, “Y’all got til April 7 to get y’all’s shit together.” Fans assumed that’s when the new album would be coming out. April 7 came, and it turned out we’d actually be waiting until April 14.

“Drop one classic came right back / Another classic right back,” Lamar rapped three weeks ago on “The Heart Part 4.”

That statement was definitely true.

In other K. Dot news, two days before the release of his highly-anticipated album, Kendrick received a huge co-sign from Long Beach native Vince Staples. During his interview with Power 106’s The Cruz Show, Staples lauded Lamar for his rap prowess and dubbed him the best rapper alive.

“Talking about all-time, we can say Michael Jordan is still alive, but he’s not beating LeBron James one-on-one. You talking about right now, it’s Kendrick. Easy,” Staples said. “It’s not even close. Or [it’s] Kanye.”
