How can you remain humble with a certified double platinum album and thousands of fans screaming your lyrics even after the music has stopped? Well, Kendrick Lamar just bows his head in humility while his adoring and supportive fans shower him with admiration at his opening night in Phoenix, AZ.
On Wednesday (Jul 12), Lamar kicked off his ‘DAMN” tour opening night with a Kung Fu video of Kung Fu Kenny learning the ancient secrets of being the “chosen one” ending with an explosive entrance to the stage and performance of “DNA.”
Lamar performed with a natural stage presence that indicants that it is truly in his DNA. During his opening number, Lamar battled with a samurai with a sword with every bar of his iconic summer anthem, ultimately defeating his opponent.

Lamar not only thanked his fans for their love and support but also for getting him to his first arena tour, while his fans are steadily chanting his name. His tour is set to run throughout the summer ending in September and will feature D.R.A.M., Travis Scott, and YG taking Scott’s place in the second half of the tour.
