Kendrick Lamar and Reebok Team Up For Club C Model Sneaker

Kendrick Lamar is kicking off 2017 with a new addition to his partnership with Reebok.

The new shoe collaboration, which is based on the Reebok’s Club C model, will feature acid-washed denim in a black and white pattern intended to represent unity in today’s divisive society. The red detailing symbolizes the intensity and heart that the TDE frontman puts into his music and the letters “k” and “o” in the Reebok logo are also highlighted to reference Kendrick’s “KDot” nickname.

“Now more than ever it is important for individuals to come together as one,” Lamar explained in a media statement. “This sneaker represents that call for unity and equality, while also pushing people to look beneath the surface and uncover the hidden messages. This is something I try to do with my music, and now, here with the Club C.”

The Club C model marks KDot’s third Reebok sneaker, Lamar’s first collaboration with the brand came in the form of the Ventilator shoe in 2015, which promoted peace among rival gangs; and was followed by the artist’s take on the iconic Classic Leather sneaker, “Perfect Split”,  in January of 2016.

Kendrick Lamar x Reebok Club C is scheduled for release on January 13 with a price tag of $109.99 for adult sizes, the kid’s style will cost $70 and toddler sizes will be priced at $50.
